Mad Science - Science Wonders and Phenomena

Come explore the world of science wonders and phenomena! Feel the magnetic force pulling you in while visiting the electromagnetic field and build a magnetic source of your own. Experience the zapping effect of a Van De Graaf generator and electrifying lightening!

Visualize optical illusions and Technicolor in a way that you never perceived before! Even hear and see your voice change right in front of your very own eyes! But that’s not all; things get heated up when you witness an underwater volcano, create thermal slime, and discover other super power sources of the world!

Dates: Tuesdays, September 15 - October 27 (rain day 10/13/20) (6 weeks) 
Time: 3:50pm-4:50pm
Location: Morehouse Pavilion
Grades: 1- 5
Fee: $114.00
Class may be cancelled due to inclement weather, and added to the end of the session.

Drop-off & Pick-up
  • DROP-OFF & PICK-UP FOR MAD SCIENCE WILL BE AT THE MOREHOUSE PAVILION. NOTIFICATION IS NEEDED IF SOMEONE OTHER THAN THOSE LISTED ON THE REGISTRATION FORM WILL BE PICKING UP YOUR CHILD. PLEASE NOTE PROPER ID MUST BE PRESENTED.
  • Any student can attend a Park & Rec after-school program on any day.
  • Please update dismissal manager to Park & Rec activity. We can't accept children into the program who are not listed as Park & Rec in dismissal manager.
  • Children will be dismissed to the side door by the large gym to meet their instructor at 3:40pm for dismissal. Attendance will be taken and children will walk to the pavilion.
  • Students that are registered for Extended Day may go back to Extended Day after program, ONLY if you attended school that day. If it is not your day to attend school, you may not enter the building, you must be picked up at the pavilion.
