Weekly Newsletter - The week before your registered week of camp, you will receive an email with your Weekly Newsletter. This will give you all information for the week at camp. You will also receive a hard copy on Monday morning. All campers get 1 T-shirt per summer, on Tuesday of camp.
TO KNOW BEFORE REGISTERING FOR CAMP
1) There are NO REFUNDS/CREDITS for Day Camp, you can switch weeks depending on availability. Be aware of this before you register for all weeks upfront.
2) Check your child's grade now, before June 1! Make sure your child is in the correct current grade. On June 1, the system will automatically move them up a grade to the grade they will be in the fall. This will avoid confusion on the first day. All campers are grouped together by grade.
3) Please do not change your child's grade in your account so they can be with a different age group to be with a friend.
4) Registration cut off is Thursday the week before. No registrations will be accepted after that. You can add to the WAITLIST for any week and we will contact you if a spot opens up.
5) This is a 100% outdoor camp. The only time we may go to SSES for the day, is if it's going to be a total wash-out of a day.
Sunshine Day Camp is for those campers entering Grade K (5) through entering Grade 6 (We adopt the state policy where campers must be 5 by Sept 1 to attend camp). Please be sure to enter the grade your child is going into in the fall when registering. PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE YOUR CHILD'S GRADE ONLINE SO THEY CAN BE WITH A DIFFERENT GRADE!
We are excited to offer you another exciting summer of new experiences and adventures at our outdoors Sunshine Day Camp. Camp runs from 9:00am-2:00pm, Tree House options from 2:00-5:00pm (register for separately).
Our camp offers a variety of activities including arts & crafts, sports, funyaks, special guests and special theme based activities to fill campers’ days with fun, laughter and music throughout the summer months. Every week offers a special event and the ice cream truck or ice pops on Fridays! We will have days of inflatable slip n' slide, use to keep cool as well as our beach front for building sand castles and canoeing on our pond. Don't forget our "THEMED DAYS", "TIE DYE TUESDAYS" and Friday TALENT SHOWS!
Lunch Bunch - Register for this weekly option. We offer grilled cheese, a hot dog or turkey sandwich. Lunch includes a water or juice box, chips and a sweet snack.
Inclement Weather - On inclement weather days camp will be held at Samuel Staples Elementary School (SSES), in the 2 gyms & Extended Day room# 139. You will receive an email the night before or morning of camp to tell you camp is being moved. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR EMAIL IS UPDATED IN OUR SYSTEM AND CHECK YOUR SPAM! It will also be on our website and Facebook.
Late Fee
Sunshine Day Camp concludes at 2:00pm (unless you are registered for Tree House Gang - same late fee applies), and we ask that parents make every effort to pick up their child/children by that time. If you know that you are running late, out of courtesy to the Camp Staff, please call (203)220-5002 to notify us of your approximate arrival time. Any child who is picked up after 2:00pm is considered a “late pick up” and will be charged a fee, $20 for every 15 minutes starting at 2:00pm (or 5:00pm for tree House).

Each Week at Sunshine Day Camp
All campers go to Arts & Crafts and the beach area every day. Grades 3-5 go to Archery 2 days a week.

Mondays: Let's meet our fellow campers and counselors with fun games.
Tuesdays: Every Tuesday is TIE DYE TUESDAY & THEME DAY. Tie Dye your camp shirt or anything white and wear them on Friday! (1 camp T-shirt per summer, not per week).
Wednesdays: What event is coming to Sunshine Day Camp?? The weekly flier will let you know, or see below for a sneak peek.
Thursdays: Slip n' slide day
Fridays: Wear and show off your creative tie dyed camp shirt! Talent Show! Ice cream truck!

Week 7: August 10-14 - LAST WEEK! Foamchella Foam Party!

Day Camp Important Info
- Siblings must be registered for the same weeks to receive the sibling discount.
- If your child will be out any day from camp, contact camp that morning at (203)220-5002 and let the Director know. Otherwise, their Counselor/group will be waiting for them.

- Please note children bringing their own lunch MUST have a cold pack in their lunch bags.
- Non-residents have a 10% increase in camp fee.
