Buzz About Bees Workshop

This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

Join an expert beekeeper, David Blocher, for an exciting workshop on beekeeping and all things bee related! Participants will learn all about the hive, roles in the colony, the importance of pollination to food crops; and David will have a fully enclosed observation hive at the workshop. Kids will be participating in active games, as well as some hands-on learning; using a beeswax foundation to make candles, tasting pure honey, and they will bring home not only their beeswax candle but a seed packet of bee-friendly plants to make sure their local bee pollinators have a varied diet. A fun learning experience that cannot be found in books.
