SPRING - The Science Around Us - Look around you, what do you see? This program will dive deep into science and show us the phenomena that makes the world go round! Our project-based experience will help students see how science is everywhere, from the plants we see blooming in Spring to rockets blasting off out of this world! Our expedition will include the movies on the big screen as well as the toys we play with, the forces that work within our bodies as the those that create powerful storms. We will collect rocks, minerals and maybe some gross things along the way- all in the name of science! Students will receive Mad Science Lab Coats, goggles, and branded take homes that will encourage children to have fun with the science around us daily!

Spring Session: Mondays, March 31 – May 12, 6-weeks, (No class on 4/14)
Any make-ups will be added to the end of the session.
Time: 3:50 pm - 4:50 pm
Grades: 1-5
Fee: $183.00/per session
Location: SSES Computer Room

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
  • Please update dismissal manager to Park & Rec activity. We can't accept children into the program who are not listed as Park & Rec activity in dismissal manager.
  • Children will be dismissed to the END OF MAIN STREET HALLWAY (by the gyms) to meet their instructor. Attendance will be taken and children will start class. Please let your child know where they are to meet their instructor.
  • PICK UP IS IN THE BACK OF THE SCHOOL AT THE KINDERGARTEN HALLWAY DOORS. NOTIFICATION IS NEEDED IF SOMEONE OTHER THAN THOSE LISTED ON THE REGISTRATION FORM WILL BE PICKING UP YOUR CHILD. PLEASE NOTE PROPER ID MUST BE PRESENTED.
  • Late Policy - We ask that parents make every effort to pick up their child/children on time. Any child who is picked up after the program concludes is considered a “late pick-up” and will be charged a fee, $10 for every 15 minutes starting at the time the program ends. This charge will be automatically charged to your account, with an email notifying you of the charge. If you are running late or need to reach the class, please call our Ext Day room at (203)261-8705.
