Chess Pic
The Camp will be a combination of playing and learning, with ample time for 1:1 instruction. The learning part of the camp will focus on the important elements to help the student select a move during the middle game. Games of some of the great players of the past will be reviewed to understand how they selected moves. A formal tournament with prizes will be held on the final day, enabling students to test the skills learned during the week.

Glenn Budzinski, the owner of Connecticut Kids Play Chess, Inc., one of the largest scholastic chess teaching organizations in the state, will teach the camp. Glenn has been teaching chess for four decades and his students have won numerous scholastic state championships, including winning the three state scholastic championships - high school, middle school and elementary - all in the same year in 2020.
