Please dress them for a mess and mention any dietary restrictions as cupcakes and choice of lemonade or water will be served. Masks required indoors. Skyhawks Flag Football is the perfect program for young athletes who want a complete introduction to “America’s Game” or for those who simply want to brush up on their skills in preparation for league play. Through our “skill of the day” activities, campers will learn skills on both sides of the ball including the core components of passing, catching, and de-flagging or defensive positioning – all presented in a fun and positive environment. Skyhawks Flag Football is recommended for beginning to intermediate athletes. Program will feature basic field hockey instruction and learning the fundamentals (drills, passing, shooting, rules, etc.) and 7 v 7 game-style scrimmages based on age and level. Joel Barlow High School Field Hockey Team and Sacred Heart University Field Hockey Team will be volunteering their time to assist in coaching. Deadline for application & essay is Friday, April 23 2021.  No Exceptions.Counselor in Training 2021For Sunshine Day Camp Counselors in Training (CIT’S) gain valuable training and experience by providing support to instructors and group leaders at camp. This program is for Easton teens, ages 14-15 who want to further develop their leadership and communication skills as well as gain experience in planning and instruction of activities for young children. All applicants must be 14 by June 1, 2021 and must remain 15 until August 31, 2021. Teens turning 16 over the summer are too old to apply. Deadline for application & essay is Friday, April 23 2021.  No Exceptions.~ We are asking all applicants to write an essay explaining why they want to be a CIT at Easton Sunshine Day Camp or The Easton Arts Center. Essay must be a minimum of 300 words. ~ CIT’s will have to commit to a 1-week session and will be paid a stipend of $100.00 per week. Camp runs from 6/28/21 - 8/20/21 (8 weeks).~ Acceptance into the program is based on an application and essay.~ Applications can be found below or at the Park & Rec office.~ Deadline for application & essay is April 23, 2021. WELCOME BACK TO SUNSHINE DAY CAMP!!Easton Park & Recreation is excited to offer you another exciting summer of new experiences and adventures at our Sunshine Day Camp. Our Day Camp offers a variety of activities including arts & crafts, archery, sports, funyaks, field trips, special guests and special theme based activities to fill campers’ days with fun and laughter throughout the summer months. Most weeks offer at least one special event. This summer we will be offering days of inflatable water slide or slip n' slide use to keep cool as well as our improved beach front for building sand castles and canoeing on our pond. We will be having, "THEMED DAYS" and, "TIE DYE TUESDAYS".Lunch Bunch - Register for this weekly option.  We offer grilled cheese, a hot dog or turkey sandwich.  Lunch includes a water or juice box, chips and a sweet snack.  Inclement Weather - On inclement weather days camp will be held at Samuel Staples Elementary School (SSES), RM# 139/gym. Our Day Camp offers a variety of activities including arts & crafts, archery, sports, funyaks, field trips, special guests and special theme based activities to fill campers’ days with fun and laughter throughout the summer months. Most weeks offer at least one special event. This summer we will be offering days of inflatable water slide or slip n' slide use to keep cool as well as our improved beach front for building sand castles and canoeing on our pond. Off-court games such as hoccer, soccer, and dodge ball will be played.  Summer Junior Tennis CampMonday – Thursday(Fridays are for rain make ups) Week 1: July 5 - July 8  Week 2:  July 12 – July 15 Week 3: July 26  - July 29 Location: Sport Hill Road Courts   Fee: $165 per camperGrades K-2, Grades 3-6   Time: 9:30 am – 12:30 pmMax of 5 children per court; max of 8 children for Grades K-2 & max of 5 for Grades 3-6Camp is divided by grade and ability level.Children should bring a racquet, nut-free snack & water to camp each day.  Camp is divided by age & ability: Red Ralliers; Orange Crush and Green Baseliners!  Each day of camp players are introduced to a different “stroke of the day” including the forehand, backhand, serve, and volley.  This camp also offers an optional cross-training component to enhance players’ coordination and endurance. Off-court games such as hoccer, soccer, and dodge ball will be played. Skyhawks Flag Football is the perfect program for young athletes who want a complete introduction to “America’s Game” or for those who simply want to brush up on their skills in preparation for league play. Skyhawks Flag Football is recommended for beginning to intermediate athletes. Off-court games such as hoccer, soccer, and dodge ball will be played. Come join our Tree House Gang and spend your mornings and afternoons with us.  Campers will have the opportunity to participate in numerous camp activities including sports, arts and crafts, nature projects etc. This camp runs in conjunction with the Easton Sunshine Day Camp.  Summer Junior Tennis CampMonday – Thursday(Fridays are for rain make ups) Week 1: July 5 - July 8  Week 2:  July 12 – July 15 Week 3: July 26  - July 29 Location: Sport Hill Road Courts   Fee: $165 per camperGrades K-2, Grades 3-6   Time: 9:30 am – 12:30 pmMax of 5 children per court; max of 8 children for Grades K-2 & max of 5 for Grades 3-6Camp is divided by grade and ability level.Children should bring a racquet, nut-free snack & water to camp each day.  Camp is divided by age & ability: Red Ralliers; Orange Crush and Green Baseliners!  Each day of camp players are introduced to a different “stroke of the day” including the forehand, backhand, serve, and volley.  This camp also offers an optional cross-training component to enhance players’ coordination and endurance. Off-court games such as hoccer, soccer, and dodge ball will be played. Match Play will be offered as an option in addition to field games.  USTA 10 and under tennis Match Play, designed for the junior player, will be played on a modified court with tennis balls designed for their specific skill level. This provides players with an opportunity to play 'real' tennis and learn the rules of the games! Fairfield County Tennis Cancellation Line before/after normal business hours: 203-283-5629.

Younger age groups focus on developing motor skills and self-confidence; older classes focus more on developing core soccer skills and personal focus, and introduce an element of light competition. Instructor-to-student ratio is kept small to maximize individual development, and above all else we promote fun, fun, fun! Parent participation required. Come join our Tree House Gang and spend your mornings and afternoons with us.  Campers will have the opportunity to participate in numerous camp activities including sports, arts and crafts, nature projects etc. This camp runs in conjunction with the Easton Sunshine Day Camp. Tree House Gang will be cancelled due to inclement weather.Tree House Gang runs from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Sign up for the whole week or for any day as needed.  ~Individual days must be done through camp Director and cannot be added online.  ~Payment for individual days must be paid by Friday of the week attending.  ~Payment can be made with cash, check (MUST SIGN PAYMENT FORM WITH DIRECTOR) or contact the Park & Rec office to pay via credit card (203)268-7200.  FEESPM: 2:00pm-5:00pm = $70.00 per week ($20/per day drop-in fee)2nd sibling & additional siblings fee $60 per week ($12 per day drop-in fee)There is a min of 5 children required for PM.
